The first step in installing Adobe Photoshop is to download the software. After the download is complete, close the browser and open Adobe Photoshop. As stated in previous reviews, the only real reason I did not upgrade to Lightroom 5 was that I didn’t want to spend the $200; not being able to filter by’shot’ was pretty big factor in not going. After all the price of LR *<=5.0 is $119, while LR 5.1 is $199. LR 6 is $349. So why would I pay $119 to be able to filter by Shot but not $199 to be able to filter by Shot and F.I.T.? Nevermind, you might be able to use a free.mate file editor to do a similar function with Picasa. But it's a ps dealbreaker for me.

I’m a long time LR4 user. Early in my career I used Capture and then I fell in love with Photoshop. I haven’t used anything else since because of a lack of time (10 years) and since I can do everything with Photoshop I don’t think I could use another program.

When Lr4 first came out it’s speed, reliability and features were better than Photoshop in my opinion. And that’s what made it a no-brainer for me. This is the first time I’ve considered switching. I do wish I could filter by ‘Shot’ but so far that hasn’t happened.

I think the features have improved in the last two releases, which is why I didn’t buy Lr5. The performance has been better for me since Lr4 than before. The only thing that’s holding me back is the price. I would like to see Lr6 priced at $99 vs the $199 for Lr5.1 and $349 for Lr6.
